The Killing
Netflix. That is all I can say. Now I have it, I can't remember how I survived without it. Because of Netflix I started watching The Killing, the show from AMC. The premise is a detective working an investigation of the homicide of a 17 year old girl with no obvious suspect. I became addicted to the show quickly. In a matter of three days I watched the whole first season and I feel like I am hanging on edge waiting for the next installment. Is Richmond innocdent. Luckily, I will be rewarded with the first episode of the second season on Sunday, April 1st.

Movie Review: Gone
Gone is about a serial killer, and the one who got away. Jill is the girl who escaped him and to finally "tie up lose ends" he goes after her sister to draw her out.
This movie is interesting and I liked it there were just a few glaring errors that were hard to get over. The cops were idiots! I mean seriously retarded I mean Jill escapes and she is found wandering in the woods in her pjs half frozen to death and after a week they decide she is just crazy and was never really abducted, SERIOUSLY! yeah cause that is what I do for fun and attention I go wandering the woods hoping someone will find me. Dumb cops! If you can get past a couple glaring mistakes this movie was fun and exciting.

Movie Review: Wanderlust
This is definitely a film based in comedy. There isn't much of a message and you don't walk away with a feeling of having been taken on an adventure. You will walk away laughing. Warning, there are lots of penises, vaginas, and breasts flopping around on the big screen. There are times where you will laugh for minutes straight. When I saw the movie there were several "grandmas" in the theater and this made the experience about fifty times better. So here is the hint...bring your grandmas. Watching a grandma laugh their behind off as they see penises flopping around or watch a man having a dirty monologue about various sexual acts makes the movie that much better.

Movie Review: Act of Valor
This weekend I went to see the movie Act of Valor. Basically, it is a movie based off of real life Navy SEAL operations that has been fictionalized. The actors in the movie are mainly active duty Navy SEALs. It probably doesn't need to be said, but, the expectation of the level of acting should be lower than with most movies. These guys are not professional actors.
They do kick ass and take names for a living so your expectations of some really great action scenes should remain high. There are no computer generated imaging in the movie. It is all based on the skill of the men. These guys are amazing. They have skills I did not even know existed. And, the equipment they use is cutting age and made my heart flutter. I was one of the few women in the movie. It is one of the only movies out there which is more geared for men than women. If you get a chance go see the movie, it is eye opening for the sacrifices our men and women in the military make for this country. It is the opposite of chick flick, a "manly movie."
On a side note, I know why they call them SEALs. They are wet about 98% of the time on their operations.
