Problem neighbors

I live in an apartment on the second floor. These apartments allow pets and I have seen many happy dogs and cats about. However my upstairs neighbors do not take the best care of their dogs. This morning instead of taking their dogs out for a walk to relieve themselves, they put them out on the porch. So my porch has a bunch of dog piss on it. This is not the first time or the second time this has happened. I have told my neighbors and I have told the office and still this keeps happening.

Unfortunately if I complain one more time to the office, they will ask the upstairs tenants to get rid of their dogs. I have sent my neighbors suggestions for how to handle the problem and still no response. There was no reason to let their dogs out on the porch in the cold snow unless they were expecting them to need to potty.

I don't want them to have to get rid of their dogs but I am sick and tired of having the dogs pee on the bike and the grill I have out on my porch. What should I do?

  1. If you are unable to gain compliance from your neighbors, maybe its time to assist in training their dog. It not always the answer, for example when its snowing or raining, but you could invest in a bug zapper and hang it directly under the dogs favorite portion of the porch.
